Goldey-Beacom College Announces 139th Commencement Ceremony; Kemal Erkan to Deliver Keynote Address

Wilmington, DE (04/30/2026) — Goldey-Beacom College (GBC) will celebrate its 139th Commencement Ceremony on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington, Delaware.

As Goldey-Beacom College marks its 140th anniversary year, the 2026 ceremony will also represent a milestone for the institution - the first time commencement will be held at an off-campus venue to accommodate the College's growing number of graduates and their families.

Doors Open - 9:00 a.m.

Processional Begins - 10:45 a.m.

Commencement - 11:00 a.m.

Keynote speaker Kemal Erkan '01, '04, '05

Members of the Class of 2026 will receive undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral degrees in programs spanning business, psychology, economics, criminal justice, communication and media, human services, and other fields of study.

The College will welcome alumnus Kemal Erkan '01, '04, '05, founder and chief executive officer of United Medical, LLC, as this year's commencement speaker. Erkan is widely recognized for his leadership in healthcare technology and for building one of the region's most influential ambulatory healthcare networks.

A respected healthcare executive, entrepreneur, educator, and community leader, his career spans healthcare technology, medical practice administration, and population health management. Under his leadership, United Medical has grown into one of the leading healthcare networks in Delaware and the Mid-Atlantic region, supporting more than 225 providers and serving 325,000 patients locally across more than 27 specialties and 135 medical practices nationwide.

Family members, friends, faculty, staff, and members of the community are invited to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class.
