Goldey-Beacom College to Become First Delaware College Featured on "The College Tour"

National television series will film during GBC Homecoming October 3, 2026.

Wilmington, DE (09/24/2026) — Goldey-Beacom College (GBC) will soon take its story to a national audience as the College prepares to become the first college or university in Delaware featured on the award-winning television series "The College Tour."

Production for GBC's upcoming episode includes filming during Homecoming on Saturday, October 3, 2026, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with students, alumni, families, faculty, staff, prospective students and community members coming together for one of the College's largest celebrations of the year.

Hosted and executive produced by The Amazing Race winner Alex Boylan, "The College Tour" dedicates each episode to a single college or university and tells its story through the voices of current students. Students share their own experiences with academics, campus life, athletics, housing, career opportunities and the people and programs that have shaped their college experience.

For GBC, the episode will provide an opportunity to introduce prospective students and families across the country, and around the world, to the College through the people who know it best - its students.

"Having Goldey-Beacom College featured on "The College Tour" gives our students the opportunity to tell the GBC story in their own voices," said Dr. Colleen Perry Keith, president of Goldey-Beacom College. "There is something very special about the experience our students have here, and this production allows prospective students and their families to see our community through an authentic and personal lens. We are especially proud that GBC will be the first Delaware college featured on the series."

The Homecoming lot opens at 10:00 a.m. for tailgating, followed by activities beginning at 11:00 a.m. Throughout the day, guests can enjoy food trucks, vendors, community partners, a DJ, inflatables, kids' activities, face painting, balloon art, caricatures, henna, a photo booth, alumni activities, athletic team tents, an alumni hospitality tent, a scholarship fundraising dunk tank and more.

Athletic events scheduled throughout the day include softball at 11:00 a.m.; women's volleyball and women's soccer at noon; men's soccer at 2:30 p.m., with the Homecoming Court crowned at halftime; and a women's basketball scrimmage at 3:00 p.m.

While Homecoming provides one of the settings for production, GBC's completed episode will reach far beyond campus.

"The College Tour" has featured more than 200 colleges and universities across 43 states. The series is designed to make exploring colleges more accessible by allowing students and families to experience campuses regardless of where they live or their ability to travel. Episodes stream on Amazon Prime Video and are also available through "The College Tour" platform.

Beyond the television series, "The College Tour" provides a video-powered college exploration platform where prospective students can browse institutions, watch student stories, explore campus tour pages and connect directly with colleges and universities.
